I am 22 years old, and i'm 24weeks pregnant. I was told on my 20th week by my doctor, that my unborn baby boy has a diaphragmatic hernia. This is a no reason birth deafect. it is where his diaphram never closed properly and his liver,intestines,and stomach are in his chest preventing his lungs to develop. As of right now my baby has a 50/50 chance of living. I live in southern IL, and have to travel to Philadelphia Childrens Hospital, to make sure he gets the best surgeon, and best hospital he can have, so we can give him a fighting chance. With me being out of work, because of being scared of going into pre-mature labor,( which if i do, my baby has no chance of living)And my husband working at a circuit city warhouse, we are having alot of financail problems. We need as much help as we can get. My baby boys medical bills will not be covered, and he has to have this surgery in order to give him a chance. If any one would like to help us, we have opend an account for him, so that donations can go in.
